Delray Beach Weekend Guide – March 28–29, 2026
By Gary Fitzpatrick

Closing out March in Delray Beach is always a good time—perfect weather, a packed Atlantic Ave, and that mix of beach town energy with a little nightlife edge. Whether you're heading out for the day or planning a full weekend, here’s what to check out.

1. Walk, Shop & Vibe on Atlantic Ave

Everything in Delray revolves around Atlantic Avenue—and this weekend, it’ll be buzzing.

  • Grab a drink, bounce between spots, and take in the energy
  • Check out local boutiques and art galleries along the strip
  • Keep an eye out for events tied to The Delray Affair if you're around—it’s one of the biggest local happenings

Delray has that “village by the sea” feel, with a ton of activity packed into one stretch.

2. Beach Day at Delray Public Beach

If you’re doing Delray right, you’re getting some beach time in.

  • Wide, clean sand and easy access right off Atlantic Ave
  • Perfect for a morning walk or a late afternoon hang
  • Close enough to grab lunch or drinks without overplanning

Simple, scenic, and one of the best beaches in South Florida.

3. Dining Spotlight: Where to Go This Weekend

Delray’s food scene is one of the best in Palm Beach County, especially along Atlantic Ave.

A few strong plays this weekend:

  • Deck 84 – Waterfront dining, great vibe, especially during the day
  • Dada – Unique setting, creative menu, and always a cool crowd
  • Table 165 – Newer spot with a more upscale feel

Tip: Friday and Saturday nights get busy—plan ahead or expect a wait.

4. Get on the Water

One of the underrated things to do in Delray—see it from the water.

  • Hop on a cruise with Delray Yacht Cruises
  • Great for a laid-back afternoon or something different with friends

It’s an easy way to switch up the usual routine and still stay local.

5. Real Estate Corner: What I’m Seeing Right Now

Delray is staying active as we head into April:

  • Strong demand near downtown and east of Federal
  • Walkability to Atlantic Ave is still a major driver
  • Renovated homes and updated condos are moving fastest

My take: If you’re thinking about selling in Delray, this is a prime window before summer seasonality kicks in. Buyers are still out and motivated.

6. Weekend Highlights to Check Out

  • Live music and nightlife all along Atlantic Ave
  • Brunch spots packed Sunday morning (get there early)
  • Sunset drinks near the Intracoastal or beach

Delray really comes alive at night—more so than Boca if you’re looking for energy.

Final Thoughts

Delray Beach this time of year hits a sweet spot—great weather, strong local energy, and plenty to do without overplanning. Whether you’re going beach → brunch → nightlife or just keeping it simple, it’s hard to miss.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling in Delray, now’s a great time to make a move while the market is still active. Reach out anytime—happy to help.
